ABOUT US
Leadership, clinical expertise and engineering meets to create the next generation of venous stents
Driven by real‑world insight and engineered for adaptability, we’re rethinking how iliac venous stents are designed in the future.

OUR MISSION
Building the future of iliac venous stenting
Our company was founded with a clear purpose to rethink how iliac venous stents are designed and used in clinical practice. Combining decades of surgical experience with advanced engineering, the company is focused on creating solutions that address the complex anatomical challenges of deep venous disease. Our flagship product, the ALTA™ stent, reflects this vision. It is a modular, anatomy‑adaptive stent created to give physicians greater flexibility, control, and precision when treating a broad spectrum of patients. We believe that true innovation in venous care begins with listening to those who perform these procedures and understanding the needs of the patients who live with these conditions every day.
OUR EXPERIENCE
Built on decades of experience in venous stenting
At the heart of our company is the expertise of Dr. Cees Wittens, a world‑leading key opinion leader and Professor in venous surgery. His decades of first‑hand clinical experience have been instrumental in shaping our approach. Through his understanding of the limitations of existing stents, he inspired the development of ALTA™, a solution created to align with the natural anatomy of the vein while streamlining procedural workflows for physicians. Guided by this unique blend of clinical insight and purposeful engineering, Venous Stent B.V. is committed to advancing the treatment of deep venous disease and delivering solutions that support both patient well‑being and physician needs.
